I dont think you fully understand what this is all about. Fair, I don't have access to BB code, but in general this kind of code is most likely calculating merchandise for each player based on variables in team, league, nationality and national team. However, as the country "Nations of..." is not a nationality, this variable was accidentally left incorrectly when Nations of -leagues were created. So there was a bug that is using wrong variables and thus gives wrong calculations to merchandising as it doesn't compare statistics to other "Nations of.." players but only to players with same nationality. So bug is a bug even though it has been in the code for several years. It doesn't get fixed after time has passed enough if no one fixes it. And taken into account how difficult it is to find this kind of bug that no one wants to report and as we can't compare other teams merchandise, teams from other countries can't even question anything. So I don't find it any mysterious why it wasn't discovered earlier.
But I can make sure that there's no separate code for each country as it would make no sense to write same text 98 times for each country when you can write the same code only ones with variable "nationality". Justin can of course confirm, but I'm quite sure that this doesn't effect only Japanese teams but to all teams who are playing in any Nations of -league, regardless of the nationality. And it's really great that this will be finally fixed as it was noticed.
