I never denied this - just wanted to quash the fact you presented that we'd enjoy similar gate receipts whilst we climbed up with our lesser salaries.

What about cup runs? Would you expect an average Italian II team to go 2/3 rounds further in the domestic cup on average? (more $$ and spin off effect to future league attendences = SLIGHTLY more :D)

You can't base your season on cup runs,because you can find every kind of opponent in every stage,you can go out from the first round against a Serie A team or play till the fourth round aganst bots
And however it's not easy to have a perfect record and advance in the cup in larger countries,because you can find some good team from lower division that can force you to use some TS point or put some starter in cup games,losing competitivity in league games

I had a very interesting BB-mail overnight from a good old friend who slipped me this information....

Delta Cappuccio is raking in 1.5x the amount of cash of Kotets at the gates (AVG 351k vs. 238k over the first games over the season..)

So the slightly really is becoming more and more a SLIGHTLY!

Sure but take a league of 16 teams with an average 2500 STH (ie. Italy II) then take a league of 16 teams with an average STH of 1800 (Japan II).

Play these teams week in week out vs each other with same arena breakdowns and prices and I would bet that the Italian attendences work out to be slightly higher?

Slightly is a key word in this discussion.Because we could easily see the difference in the salaries and in Tv contract,and the relative weekly difference.Now,if this slightly difference,is small compared to the weekly difference we saw before(salaries-Tv contract),it means that however tanking is a much more easy tactic to play in Japan


you shouldn't forget that you play longer, to reach this level so have bigger arena and tv income in italy. And when it is the same in Nippon, they also played longer and fight harder to be competive so that they have more competive and more expensiv rosters like in italy.

but you are right a fresh start might be faster in a small country, bt if it is really funnier, because the opponents are much stronger and you have to catch up for a while before you could think about winning.

And what difference does it make, when team cx from a total different country cgot more money then team y, when they ain't competing against each other.

IMHO,Kotets is been hurting much more than Delta Cappuccio Team from the relegation because:

-DCT had a much better path in their National cup(SF against top 64) last season
-DCT was relegated after playout games,while Kotets was relegated directly
(higher fan survey on last season's team performance)

And the most important thing,Kotets has a too high price for the bleachers seats,so he don't fill them out,while DCT with a much lower price,has all the bleachers filled,so having a much better income

Probably there is a difference between a large and a small country,but in this situation it seems to me more a wrong price policy from Kotets than another thing

To my dismay I find that you've lately started to articulate all the ideas I'd like to have but couldn't articulate properly even if I had them ;-), so thanks. Only on the last point:
No-ones discussed a team that explodes yet as opposed to tanking. If a manager knows this is his last season in BB then how much do you think he needs to ensure a BB3 victory?
..I know the scenario exists but personally I don't understand the motive. If I knew I wouldn't be around to enjoy the eventual glory of my team, why should I try to win a title I don't care to hold any longer? So if I tried anyway, I would put in less effort than my rivals who want to continue, thereby reducing my chances to go all the way.

Perhaps a motive would be to try and win the most difficult competition one last time before moving on to a different, but an initially slightly easier set of competitive forces (which will serve to keep the game interesting).

i like it more when there are seats free, then when you have a sell out because you never know how much people would have come when you have unlimited seats(and no cap). If there are just a few people without a ticket, it may be economical better but it could become very fast a bad deal.

5500 seats free on 13000 maybe are a little too much ;D
