Ubaldo Nudalo: "The Titan"

"The Titan" Ubaldo Nudalo(2548414) does his magic once again with the Toronto Titans(25111). He had his usual game high scoring in his debut with the Titans creating a good impression from the manager TruestBaller.

His second game was no different as he scored his personal(and leagues) best record performance of 63 points and grabbing 22 rebounds(best since BB season 6).

"Im happy with Toronto Titans now. and I love my new nickname, "The Titan". I can't say that I am the hero of this team because as a newcomer, I still respect my senior teammates but all I can say is I will do my job to get that MVP award at the end of the season."

"I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate my former teammates for winning their BuzzerBeater's Best game. It was really a nail-biting one!". Ubaldo Nudalo

The Silent Marksman strikes once more

The PAL Arena rumbled once again after a week of no show at their mothership, and as the opening tip was underway, fans and viewers alike are watching and cheering as they witness another interesting match up.

Polydozels erupted in the first quarter, as they hit their first four shots, including a three-pointer by the rookie, and transfer-listed Dexter Estolaga, which forced the men from Queens Coast to call a timeout. At this time, you know that the home team means business.

It's interesting to note also, that coach Vic Nodally once again pulled out Hipolito Guarnes and Mervyn Jamora into the starting 5, chich caused concern at first by fans.

However, it was Estolaga's first quarter spark that gave their opponents a hard time by scoring big on the first quarter alone, making 13 points.

Jamora and Guarnes took care of the second quarter, by maintaining their lead up to half time, but Queen's coast was annahilating them on defense as they made the home team to force shots and bad passes. Even the Polydozel centers are outrebounded, led by Amado Lumasag and company.

Second Half was different however, as Jamora turned his game around. After missing shots in the second quarter, he hit almost all of his shots in the second half as he only made 2 misses totalling in 32 points, shooting 6-10 three pointers. Jamora, so-called the "Silent Marksman" played with minimum minutes but with high efficiency as he was the key in winning the game.

Hipolito Guarnes scored 23 points, and Dexter Estolaga managed to get a best scoring night with 18 points.

Ganela eager to return on the court

Justo Ganela is eager to return on the court. Ganela was injured 2 weeks ago. Ganela was a big factor of the Redoña Farm's success during the course of the season, he average 11pts, 10rebs, and almost 5 assist a game.

Ganela is now practicing with the team last week doing some light drills. Team doctor Chun-Shin Kim told the press that "I am impressed with the kids development so far and he easily recovered from his injury".

Only one week left from his time table before returning in the hard work. "I can't wait to return in the court and help my team win." said Ganela. Redoña Farm is currently 2-1 without Ganela.

Former Polydozel player a star in the US

It was a gloomy day for Dexter Estolaga as he found out that he is going to be packing up and leaving the Polydozel management. A move that most people wouldn't expect.

"There was future in Estolaga, I really don't know what the team was thinking." says one fan.

Yet, everyone has their hopes up for them to qualify for the playoffs. Even without Estolaga, their were still happy with what the team has accomplished-- Like acquiring Zhong Xianchong and Giovanni Batista Carrer, who are now key figures in the team.

Estolaga, however, got more success overseas, as he is now the team's best scorer, averaging 24 points per game in 8 games.

"He got his scoring touch all right, and the best of all, he's young, and he may learn more from us, asides from what he learns from his first team." says the Lakers coach.

"It's a big surprise that Estolaga is worth more than what we gave to the former team, we never knew that this would be special."

We asked Vic Nodally also if whether selling Estolaga would now be a bad idea from them.

"I think both teams benefits from this transaction. We wished him the best and that's what he got now... the best of everything. He gets to play more competitively overseas, thus enabling him to develop more... We, on the other hand, manage to get premier players using his profit money, enabling us to land players that are on the top of our shortlist."

Whatever the outcome is, Estolaga sure has a great future in the states, and we hope that this is not the last that we-re going to hear from him.

Polydozel playoffs future uncertain with Guarnes sidelined

All the while, the team Polydozel had a good job of winning important games, just to be sure about their position in the upcoming playoffs. After winning a game against Lia Cruz, all others would think about their chances in winning the PPL championship.

All that was shattered now with their main scorer, Hipolito Guarnes injured.

Guarnes was injured as soon as the game started, as Lia Cruz's Allen Madrid fouled Guarnes hard on the play. Guarnes never rose from the floor that quickly.

Doctors tells us that at least 2 weeks would be the time for his injury to recover.

With Guarnes out for 2 weeks, surely he won't be playing the opening round in the playoffs.

"And I think it would be a good time for Guarnes to take the rest of the season off, as he really worked hard in this season, and it would be a good time also for Bello to prove something for himself."

Carl Marx Bello, normally plays power forward, has been the deciding factor in the recent game against Lia Cruz, by playing the full game since he replaced Guarnes, and posting up 21 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and a block. his averages are 6.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.9 blocks per game, playing 19 minutes.

"Bello could play Guarnes' role, almost as good as Hip, and we believe that we would have a good game still, on Tuesday." says head coach Vic Nodally.

That game is against TrailBlazers United, the team that is unbeatable this season, if ever they win against the United, Blazers would only have one loss, and thus ties the record of Celestial Fury of having just 1 loss in the regular season. If the Polydozels lose, however, Blazers would be the first team to win 22 league games straight.

But with Guarnes and Verumbickas sidelined, Bello has to have help with fellow teammates Simeon Tongson, Giovanni Battista Carrer, and Mervyn Jamora and make some moves on how to stop the Blazers stampede. It could be quite a work for their result to come up. And this win could mean much for their security in their current seed in the playoffs. They are now sitting pretty in third seed, in which they would face the 2nd seed, the more formidable ribonucleic acid.

Verumbickas is in a "might be" situation at their game against the former league champs... might also be a game time decision. "We definitely need him in this game, but with his injury, he might be either rusty or fueled up for this game. Either way, we all will have to know sooner.
