It is similar situation which I had last season...even worse because I had one opportunity to build enthusiasm more than stajan.

loved by the buffalo is doing pretty damn good in the B3 predictions sitting on 121 points in 8th position.

Meanwhile your former scribe (me) has somehow managed to crawl to 110 points to sit in equal 27th position.

猛牛 smashed my mob in a private league game last week and if the old proverb, "3rd time lucky" happens to be a Chinese proverb, then they might be good things to become "immortal" .

My initial analysis was;

猛牛 (70015) Proven quality performer with a solid roster in good gameshape. Hard to read form as has had an easy run in round robin games. One of the chances but not sure that they can win. 5 to 1

the ragin stajans (33578) A 1.1 million roster with balance and depth and some solid player rating means that this team is in with a legitimate chance of progressing through the tournament. Likely to win through from the purple quarter of the draw. 7 to 2

During the course of the tournament SUPERLIGOTA proved in no uncertain terms, that I can be wrong and with regards to 猛牛, i now declare that they can win but Im not sure as yet whether or not they will

I might hold off making my prediction for a couple of days

Good luck to everyone with their tips, except for those teams who I can catch should I manage to pick the winner

well, their 9 GS all round beat out my 8 GS all round save one 9 GS guy at PF, even with Princeton Vs LP.

The final 10 point margin flattered them tho'

I'd say Canada has a 50/50 chance of beating China next Week

Nah, whilst I did research each of the 32 teams, I didnt go to the depth of looking at their long term schedules and nor did I do psychological analysis of each of the managers to determine what likely enthusiam levels their teams would have in 4 or 5 weeks time.

I choked hard last week. I unwittingly played zero of my ten rotation players in my last regular season game, resulting in me needing to play 5 players a full 48 minutes each in my two remaining weekly games for a chance at getting at least 48 minutes. Next match, I had an injury less than 1 minute in (meaning 1 of my players was guaranteed to play 0 total weekly minutes) and lost the playoff match.

I would've predicted the Chinese team to win at the start of the tournament, just not like this. He's very likely to win after receiving massive injury blows to elite 237k and 188k players. For some reason, I wouldn't be super upset if I lose. Just incredibly ashamed and embarrassed. I'll have twice his usable salary while he'll have ~1.6 times my enthusiasm. Might not be impossible for me to win if I hit 2/2 GDP and he misses 1/1 GDP, as long as I keep my TOs down and the REB disparity isn't huge. Maybe I could get lucky if I decided to 2-3 as well, although that seems like a bad idea with my enthusiasm and the scoring ability of his forwards.

Of course you have some chances...but not very big because of huge difference in enthusiasm. I wish you all the best but if I have to predict my choice is definitely Chinese team.
