A) not all retired players are CRAPPY
B) not all fired players are CRAPPY
C) it is a problem losing players PERIOD. Or you will have to admit everybody, even DV teams need great players with 110+ TSP. Besides, logically: more fired players than draftees=not good

It is bad for the game and the Free Agency rules are exasperating the issues of a shrinking market (which is still shrinking as each season is worse than the previous one in terms of good prospects and prices are still raising). Even the 500k base fee for players over 50k salary is just not helping. Free Agency wipes out both very high salary players and trainable players and high potential youngsters. Not cool.

Also, as Trainerman correctly understood that reply was also to call you out in a reply earlier in the thread where you were equally dismissive.

Same old blah blah blah from a day trader. Like I said before, go do your daytrading on a market site with other traders with real money. Using a basketball sim for anything but a basketball sim is buttshlt.

I believe there is a such thing as peak hours.

No question about it, but are you fixated on it?

No, I thought not.

It seems you are advocating for more lenient FA rules with lower salary as a threshold, that may happen relatively soon. For information, FA rules with higher salary threshold was also asked by users in the past.

That is great news! I hope "relatively soon" is very soon.

Of course, higher level managers who fear up and coming mid-level and new teams would advocate for higher FA salary thresholds for obvious reasons, but that would not be good for the game.

I'm not following you here. Explain to me why I'm not fixated on it.

You don't think about it night and day. You don't dream about it when you sleep. You don't drag it into every conversation about other topics. Etc.

Player A:

10 5
15 11
12 11
10 11
6 7

Position: PG
TSP: 98
Salary: 21.000$

Player B:

17 11
6 13
15 8
3 4
5 5

Position: SF
TSP: 87
Salary: 26.500$

I think we all know who's more useful. Heck, I could use Player A in my II division. But Player A will be lost forever if fired/botified and Player B will be in TL.

Another example for a big guy:

11 5
8 11
12 9
6 15
12 9

Position: PF
TSP: 98
Salary: 29.000$

A marvelous player for any outside oriented team. Too bad he'll never be a FA, because his salary isn't suitable for it. On the contrary this guy:

4 3
1 2
3 2
14 12
14 5

Position: C
TSP: 60
Salary: 37.500$

...he'll be available as a FA...

My proposal for Free Agents is to take into account skill points. There are lots of players that are lost that would be extremely useful to a range of teams from DV to DII. That would relieve the market A LOT. Current system is fine for a 40-50k userbase. But these days are long gone and BB needs to adapt.

This would help many newcomers to buy a couple of older, yet useful and not salary inflated players. With another proposal that I have, to let newcomers train with an increased rate in training (applied ONLY in their generated players, not the ones they buy and ONLY for their first 2-3 seasons), I think more players will be attached in BB and the market will be stable again.
