You're right about that, of course. But voiding bids on injured players isn't improvement, imo. There's nothing wrong with it. Everybody knows of the possibility when they bid on a player, and rarely if ever would the injury actually be sufficient reason to take back a bid.

When you buy something online, if you get it shipped to you broken, it is reasonable for you as the customer to expect to be able to return it for a new non-broken item or to get your money back. It is not unreasonable for a consumer in a market to want what he or she pays for. There is no logical reason for a buyer to have to take on this risk. This situation is an unintended consequence of the way that the bidding system has been set up and should be corrected.

Apples and oranges.

If you want a game with no risk you need to find a different game.

Apples and oranges indeed. An online purchase of an object presumes it arrives in good condition. It is clearly known that players get injured at random times, so there is no such presumption on a BB player. That, sir, is apples and oranges.

Not to mention we already know that the player's game shape gets damaged in shipping.

There is not one professional sports league in the world that allows teams to trade or sign players that they do not know the medical condition of. If a player is injured, the trade or signing are voided. You are essentially arguing that "it is because it is and we shouldn't change it."

You don't need to put words in my mouth. I know what my position is, and it has nothing to do with any professional sports league in RL. I just don't thnk this particular change is needed or maybe even warranted.

And there is another side to this coin. The team that is bidding on the player may very well want to keep bidding if he is injured, and if you void the sale then they are hurt through no fault of their own.

No proposition is one-sided.

They can just bid again. How professional sports league do there business has nothing to do with this running a fake professional sports league.

I think it's an acceptable risk in the current system.
Nothing needs to be changed in my opinion.
