The problem is only in new people not joining the game.
Advertising is the key word.

Not sure if it's off-topic to consider why people are actually leaving this game considering the title of the thread, but it's more than advertising. Imo, it's the turnaround to have a capable team. If they could reduce it from the current 2.5-3 years irl to 1-1.5 years, I think a lot more teams would stick around and experiment in different builds. Before teams used to do it by daytrading, but if they would prefer it done through training, they need to speed up training. And this is from someone who spent the last 2-3 years rebuilding my team. I would happily exchange the value in my players and bank account to have a more functional game that folks can experiment around with more. And of course, keep punitive measures against hoarding money and buying a high salary team with taxes.

Allow a player to be trained in any skill you want as long as they get 48 minutes of game time a week, regardless of position played. More players trained plus the ability to train players in unique builds for different systems. Problem solved.

It'll still take 7-9 seasons (2-3+ years) to train a player

Agree.

Anyway I was thinking about the "3 big man" Look Inside teams vs "4 shooters" three point teams.
In reality we look to GSW (only an example) and see the importance of 3 point shots, and we can't feel this in BB.
Is not new, and this is not reallity, just thinking and talking about the contradiction of the tendencies in basketball and buzzerbeater.

Of course, because no matter how good a team is shooting from beyond the arc, even if they shoot a higher percentage from 3 than 2, they will never shoot even half of their shots from outside. Inside offenses get the benefit of a rebounding boost, a boost to free throws, and they'll happily shoot every shot from inside if the offensive flow is good enough to avoid being forced into wild threes when the shot clock expires.

You should be complaining about the GE because of the buzzerbeater being a dunk and not a 3pt, not because the fouls. You had bad luck because his team shoot 92% on it's FT, which is exceptionally high.

It's not bad luck.
Is just the way you prepare and build your team over seasons to exploit all game engine advantages.

If you keep an eye on statistics of the league all season you'll see that my team challenged all opponents with foul troubles.
So, is not luck or no luck at all!

I'm actively training players. In fact player development may be what I like more, and I shall leave this game sooner or later tired of the game engine replacing my trainees in the last minute of a completely decided game, fu...ing off all my week carefully designed lineups.
That happens one week in two, more or less, despite the fact of playing with 8-9 players and putting no replacements in the lineup for the trainee.
Training is difficult enough. You sacrifice most of the competition. No need of messing it more.

Thanks.
