Ok, now since I am back and want to take this game bit more seriously I have 2 questions:

Training - did they change something to passing training? I did passing to 3 players for 2 weeks, they all have significantly less passing than other skills (elastic effect should be favorable). Not a single pop. They aren't exactly 18yo anymore, but passing training used to be extremely fast. Did that change?
Blank lineup/part blank line-up. - what kind of changes they introduced to this concept?

I don't think they changed training speed. How old are your players? What trainer level? And are they near their cap?
In my experience, Pa doesn't train really fast though, usually the easier pops are in handling/driving (for outside skills), and I think rebound trains a bit faster than ID/IS.

As far as blank lineups, they made some changes a few years ago, can't remember the specifics because I don't use them, but in essence I think they broke it as too many people were using it. You'll have to dig into the forums for that

Passing is a quick skill to get up with short players, but at your players' height and age, they probably need a week or two more. I believe the changes to training have only been the arena additions and the additional staffperson for 18/19 year olds.

Interesting. I seemed to remember age effect on passing was minimal, and height was also less of consideration than for example OD. I will give it one more week. Planned to get 3 pops for one of more players but will settle for 2 in this case :/

Hello.

New team here.

What trainer level is best for a new team and how much should I pay for one?

I am with argos on this one. You can get advanced, on low salary, for cheap. Unless you have MVP+ potential huge talent, this will be more than sufficient

Thanks for the tip. Would like to train some players, maybe get one on the NT.

I don't think any on my team currently are worthy of that training.

May need to build up first. So plan is train what I have and build arena as suggested.

For the NT, it's a very long term plan (10 seasons, ~2 real years), it's a huge commitment so make sure you start with a very good trainee. His potential needs to be MVP or HOF.
A slightly shorter plan would be to train players for the U21, it's only 3 seasons of training so it's much more manageable when starting, and a player with great starting skills (50-55 total skill points at 18) and an average potential (perenial allstar or superstar) is cheap and will give you a nice paycheck if you sell him at 21-22yo.
But like other said, priority #1 is expanding your arena

You should be able to get 3 good trainees with 50 TSP at 18 or 55 at 19 with per. allstar or superstar potential for very cheap. Couple that with lvl 4 trainer and put rest money into the arena. That's how I would approach it

And now it's very easy to find them in the transfer list too. You can search for max 18/19 year olds, with minimum potential of Perrenial Allstar, and then sort by TSP high to low.
