Okay, so the change causes difficulty for those who were micromanaging underpotential trainees for fringe NT roles. Get the pitchforks and torches!


This change, like all changes in real and internet life, affects all participants. Ones in a good way, others in a bad way. I'm in second group. Does this mean I can't complain?

I assume that you probably have a very low sublevel of passing for this fine fellow, yes? So given that the cross-training is roughly 10% of normal training and we assume that it hits one of 9 skills at random, every 90 weeks you can expect to have received one week's worth of passing training. Yeah, go ahead and sell your player now - you're screwed. ;)


You have to take into account PA is the fastest training. I don't know if it will train faster as a secondary training, but we will see. Anyway, I plan on training this fellow for 4 more seasons, so that's 56 weeks. Can you guarantee me the training engine will not choose PA enough times in 56 weeks, thus not making it pop?

It could pop or it couldn't. Why am I not happy for this randomness?

You also have to know I'd have a greater ticket sales and merchandise if my player plays for NT. Let's say 15k for merchandise and 30k for ticket sales, which is 45k/week. If he plays in 6 NTgames per season, that's 6 x 45k=270k. For some nothing, for some a lot. I know I want to save every 1k I can.

I never say that 0,3 level of rebounding for a guard are worth 7 rebounding for a c like you make it up.

0,3 level of rebounding raise the salary of a player(few k,but however raise the salary),without improving his efficiency on the floor.Period
We are going to pay some k more every week,for every player we trained for what,half rebound every game?


it increase the effiency on the floor, if you are going to reduce this effect to zero. It don't cost salary too, especially when this 0,3 helps yyou to pay less salary for the same effort.

no. Please show me that 0,3 Rb on guard(5-7 reb basic) is more expensive then 0,1 on a center(level 15) which you don't need anymore to get the same results.
And then show me player builds who ain't possible anymore because the player had =,3 reb and ID more then expected, and how crappy the player looks then after 5 season of training instead.

Of course you can complain. And frankly, you have by far the most reasonable complaint of any that I've read about this -- it's actually a valid point and you're far less prone to the ridiculous overstatements than many of the people who have posted in the thread.

As far as the "will he pop" given 56 weeks of training, I don't know -- obviously, in a fairly orderly world, we could say that he'd be likely to receive maybe 70% of one week's passing training in aggregate, and then you would be able to know whether he's close enough to popping that training him one week would have moved him up. However, I fully expect that he'll pop in two weeks because random is what it is. ;)

If he's a fringe guy for the NT, will he even play much? I understand that only guys who get significant minutes in NT games help merch.

$30k ticket sales for being on the NT? Really? I have the Thai starting PG and last season my revenues were the lowest they have been in seasons because I lost games. I think winning sells tickets.

Lastly, you have known for one whole season that cross-training was coming. If it didn't enter your head that passing might perhaps increase through cross-training on a player whose training you have so painstakingly planned to the last skill level, I'd say you are at fault, not the change.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

Now if he pops in PA, I'm stuck with a player that will be good, but not good enough for NT and just above-average for D.I where I plan to be in 4-5 seasons. So what should I do? Sell him, buy myself a new 18y old and start anew, setting myself back two seasons? Or train him and risk a pop in PA, knowing this will kill all my plans with him?


you really think that 0,1-0,3 level of passing will make him a total different player? I really wonder how detailed you plan your players.

did your NT coach have something against a 12 in passing? Also the sub count for potential, and this sub difference nearly don't make an difference.

And even when passing is fast, don't forget your player is also older and trains slower, so 2 weeks is pretty optimistic.

Edit: you don't even had somthing close to a clue about the potential 2-3 weeks before, for your plans :)

I'd say slightly more than that because the effects of age: the 10% training that's lost on the player while he's 18 will be trained while he's 19, at a slightly lower rate, so the net loss will be more than 10%.

slightly less, because the skill also could get trained 10 % when you train other skills, when we talk about a player you actualy want to have.

the Key fctor for it, would be the difference in the elastic effect, which get another contribution.
