I must agree, getting one good draftee can be more valuable than two seasons of hard work.
Even more, if you manage your team quite good, you will be high ranked, loosing any chance of getting promising draftee.

The main problem here is that buying potential is growing slow and therefore you have very little overal price difference between draftee and NT player with wage of 200,000...
To rephrase - there is nothing strange in buying draftee for 1,5-2,0M but it is very problematic when you can`t sold great, hardly trained NT player for more then 5M.
