Game shape does affect the effectiveness of players, I dont know what to say, I think most people would agree that they see that it matters in how well their players perform generally.

i see it matters from 8-9. I don't think the drop off in production is that much for 6 and below.

You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em, Know when to walk away and know when to run. You never count your money when youre sittin at the table. Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.

Does anything other than minutes per week effect game shape?

I don't know if i've just been unlucky but the game shape seems very very random. One thing i have thought of is that the "massage" skill seems to lower all minutes, not just those of higher minutes.

Could just be being paranoid though. Does anything other than minutes effect game shape? I had an inkling that stamina might but i don't have any evidence of that.

Forrest what we generally think is that is impossible to make a forecast about GS above all now in the first week after the rest you can see some "strange" things. There is a small % of random in the calculation of GS or you found an extraterrestrial formula?

Just compare the 1st week game ratings with the 3rd week game ratings every season, and you'll clearly see a huge difference due to gameshape, and also due to a bit of enthusiasm effects.

Fair enough.

Guess i'll just have to try and get my minutes between 48-90 and hope for a good "roll" :P

i'm not arguing that just saying that whne the GS is not as good it does not affect the player the same way as when he has a good GS

Yes, GS behaviour first week is strange. It's the only week you can see 70 minutes player dropping GS.
These changes are gradual, and will build up over a few weeks' time. - in my opinion this could be the problem. My hypothesis is that 0 minutes is calculated for previous weeks in GS formula at the start of the season. My second hypothesis was that too many minutes at the end of the previous season could make GS drop, but I saw player with correct minutes at the end of the season to drop at the start with 70 minutes, so I rejected this hypothesis.
