Regarding stamina...
I'm still not sure how important it is and how much abilities low stamina player loses during match?
I have read others' personal conclusions and opinions but these are also different, not confirming anything for me. If I see in some games last quarter score fell dramatically for me I consider it's because of low stamina. Is it basically true?
Does stamina come in to play in 4th quarter or already from the jump ball?
During breaks and time-outs it's logical that players gain back some lost stamina?
Does low stamina affect negatively both scoring and defending abilities?
Do players lose skills also with highest level of stamina prominent?

So far I haven't trained stamina even one week yet, but it's in my plan. I guess it's useful:)

I can tell you what has been already discussed about stamina, anyway I'd like me too to read some BBs answers.
If your player starts to play with 100% of efficency, he can close the game with the 50% of efficency if stamina is low, it means that if you've a player prominent in stamina he can play all the game better than the same player with lower stamina. Of course the last quarter is the most important for that skill cause your players are more tired.
Don't care about the % written, it was just for example, which is excatly the % is unknow.

that's right.. basically stamina refers to how long your player can go without getting tired and having his effectiveness decrease.

Ok, but there is another important thing related to stamina, in my opinion, is critical to answer. Is the effect of stamina in performance informed somehow in the Team Ratings and/or Match-Up ratings? The answer is very important to correctly understand both, the team ratings and the match-ups rating because reading an Outside Defense rating knowing that the stamina of your players is reflected on it is a completively different thing that doing the same exercise knowing that is not.

the team rating reflects the effectiveness of the team you put out there in each category...

meaning a good player who was tired as heck, is not effective and thus your team rating would be lower than if he were not tired.

what if we just got rid of team ratings, then you wouldn't complain about them not matching ;)

It was not that simple like you put it, because as far as I understand, Team Ratings are not a reflect of team effectiveness but a measure of team strenght. Match-Ups could be a measure of effectiveness. Considering that, Match-ups must also inform of the decrease in performance for tired players.

Thanks for your answer!

no sorry.. my terminology was perhaps unclear.

when i say effectiveness here, i mean not relative to your opponent, but relative to how tired you are.

You have a certain skill, you are a certain amount tired, combining those gives the "effectiveness" i was speaking about.. certainly one could also combine it with various skills of your opponent an arrive at a different measure of "effectiveness" that you spoke of, but that is not what I intended to convey.

Ratings indeed are independent of your opponent, for that is their primary purpose to inform you and your opponent about the strength of your team in different areas.
