My guess would be that your players have low stamina. They get tired towards the end of the halves hence they struggle in the second quarter. Perhaps some stamina training might help

It's either the stamina or your back ups are way, way worse than your starters.

I just looked at all of your games from this season, and your original statement is false. You do not always lose big in the 2nd quarter.
Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

Yes - but several of my recent games have gone like that. Although I "threw" my last game it seems that I am competitive in the first quarter but drop greatly in the second. So the pattern I see is after the second quarter substitution back to my original lineup, there is a drop in scoring and defense. So I guess my question is why is the team so "inconsistant" from quarter to quarter. Is it stamina - substitution makeup or something I don't understand about the randomness factor.

Yes - I guess so but I was hoping others had similar experience and had found that it was something that they were doing wrong as managers or in some other correctable way.

Well it's not something u can fix with substitite patterns or tactics just have to get better skilled players . Its not something your doing wrong ive had games where ive been outscored by 15 in a quarter and still win, its just the game engine.
