Yeah just had a look that doesn't make sense 1 of them is even 26 and still on the team lol

they can't play official games.

If you notice all of them play in the own team of the U21 manager. All that to increase the merchandise income (i think).

It's a kind of "self favour", maybe is not so correct, but sure it's very "italian".

Hopefully there is only san increase in merchandise if a player actually is playing games. Else they should change this so that managers do not misuse this to benefit theor own teams. Of course they will decrease chance of being re-elected if they include their own crap players if they are not worthy it.

Yeah i agree seems unfair if a NT manager can get a bonus just by having their own player on the roster and they can't play in the games. Don't know why they are even allowed on the roster at all really.

I pointed that out as a bug, according to Charles this is normal behaviour, they want nt coaches to have free hands (not his worlds but it sounds like that). So basically they encourage nt mangers to do so.

The functionality to add overage players for U21 has been removed.

Players must play in games to get the merchandise boost - merely being on the roster doesn't do it.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke

If you remove the possiblity of having too old players in squad you will have no criticism as well. I do believe that this topic will be up repeatedly as long as you can have an overaged player in the squad even if it does increase merchandise or in anyway being an advantage to your team.

That they chose and perhaps even play their own crap players is almost unavoidable though. Only way to stop that is to actually limit what players that are chosable for national team squad (by salary or whatever) but that is something that I do not believe in.
