hmmm very interesting question... but you want to know what I discovered today, when I asked on a fed. forums where I am a member whether I should get a level 6 or 7 coach... Several teams that play in the highest leagues in the world and are doing quite well have a level 4 coach with speciality instead off a higher one...

There are many roads to rome and I am not going to tell you what to do. But teams that are among the top 4 in the USA or Turkey, I believe know what they are doing...

Actually; this has been talked before in forums; even by BB members that prices that people are paying currently for lvl 5,6,7 trainers (500K-3 million)are simply too much. And too much to return on investment.

Like in real bull markets; it is up to the guy who would be willing to pay. But yes it is too much at this moment.

For what it is worth; I would never go up more than 300K.

I definitely agree that it's up to people on what they choose to pay.

But what would be interesting to know is if the supply of staff members is scaling with the number of BB users. If that has been overlooked, that would be something driving staff costs up.

from what i understand, were the old level 5 coaches not the best around and didnt they want to add many level 6 and 7 coaches to take money out off the game and to give people an extra choice, whether they would want a "rare" level 6 or 7 coach or not?

True; true. I have been watching for quite awhile and I cannot see the supply has been changed in which prices will drive up...The users amount has been floating between 50-60K for quite awhile now.

What I did notice is that the amount of high paid salary trainers (40-60K a week) are well available in the market..(I guess after they get replaced they are Free Agent and not retired)
And still people are willing to get one of them..

Some users overestimate the importance of the trainers in the growing of the players,unfortunately.So they spend too much for a trainer,instead of program better the training of their young players(or to buying stronger young players,I see many people that cry about the bad results of their training with an high level trainer,and when you see their teem you can only see over 25 years old players)
And the offer unfortunately will be always too low for the request,so the only weapon that you have for cut the pirces is to not raise when the prices go too high

L4 makes sense for my team, offsets the higher player salaries I'm carrying a little and allows for a low cost signing bonus. I am training players, but they are already highly skilled. The more they train the more expensive their salaries are.

My goal is to get each player to a rigidly defined overall skillset so they improve but at an efficient salary rate. In other words it's not about the speed of training, its how accurately I can plan and predict their pops to avoid even slight training over a certain level.

This might also be the case for lower division teams that are training big men, whose salaries drastically increase above certain skill levels.

I just bought a level 5 trainer with wages around $40k (pretty fair) for just $2k. Yes, 2k. Probably I was a bit lucky, I guess, but it also demanded lots of patience until this guy appeared when probably few people were logged on. I looked for a new lvl 5 coach for about 2 months. But my patience was worthwhile.
I am in Brazilian First Division, so TV and merchandising incomes have been pretty high, and getting higher little by little, which compensates the rising of the wages of the coach. So it is not being a problem economically, I think the biggest problem regarding this system of rising wages is just that it is not realistic at all. At least for my team, which is in first division. I cannot talk for teams on lower divisions.

You was not lucky.40k salary for a member of the staff,especially if he isn't at the best level, it's a too high weight to carry on own finanical balance for the major part of the teams.We was talking about the price of trainers with a reasonable level of salary (at max around 25k/week or less)
P.S. Your Tv and mercahndising incomes will not raise for ever,your trainer salary yes

Another road to Rome (although with my skills, I will probably end up in Tunis):

I am a marginal div. iii team who decided to raise an entire squad to a certain base levels -- have been at this for two seasons, and some of my role players and 6th men are getting long in the tooth (24, 25 years old). But I am trying to develop a highly skilled core of players (21, 20, 19, 19, and 19) over the next three seasons or so. So I've hit my last TL for a while, and dropped a bundle on a level 5 trainer. I paid several hundred thousand for a guy with a salary under $20,000. When he hits $40,000, his time is done -- .

Now let me check that map -- when I get to that river Rubicon, I keep going south, right . . . ?
