I'm not good with Excel, so I wrote some powershell code that uses values for staff salaries and signon bonuses to perform a simplified cost benefit analysis. I am new to this game though, and there is a reason why my inexperience is relevant.

Fees and raises are taken into account by my script, but the value I use for raises is an approximate percentage based on observations limited to my own staff over a single season. This is an extremely small data sample, and for all I know the raises are random numbers based on a fixed value that does not scale with salary, and my projections are drastically wrong. Because of this, the results may be more useful for comparison purposes.

The compulsive side of me would be interested in any tools or data others have on this, but the rational side of me says that in comparison to the rest of purchases, staff may be small potatoes and this is overkill. I'd be willing to share my code if anyone would be interested, but I don't want to do so if this violates any BB rules or the sanctity of the game or anything.

Perhaps this might get you started. Staff salary raise per week:
All level 1's: 1%/week
All level 2's: 1,25%/week
All level 3's: 1,5%/week
All level 4's: 1,75%/week
All level 5's: 2%/week
All level 6's: 2,25%/week
All level 7's: 2,5%/week

What do you mean? There is a constant raise of 0,25% between levels.

You get minimal lvl trainer only when you fire your staff (you can only hire staff from levels 2-7).
