Just noticed there's a new post rating system for the forums. It also changed the "fan survey"... Now the balls go from 1-10. What do you guys think?


I wouldn't say the Fan Survey ratings are new, we had 5 balls which could be half-filled before also, making it 1-10.
This post rating system is obviously better.

The "Overall Posts Rated" is for me a question mark though....I think if this is like collecting balls from every post, then there will be more "kiss-ass-posts" in the forums than I can take...

Perhaps, but I think this happened in the old system too.
I have seen multiple managers complain about getting 1 balled, and on the internet where different people from different cultures and people of different ages are together the 1 balls can often be taken with more hostility than intended. Or people get upset about it.

This new system is a reward only system. If you disagree with someone then you can't just 1 ball them from behind the safety of your computer, you have to make a post and say something. Posts will be rewarded which is a great new system.

I think it also encourages users to post, because managers may have avoided posting due to constantly being 1 balled when asking questions etc.
