I read a post by a BB that stadium attendance plays a big role in All-Star selections. So teams with the biggest arenas and most fans will have more All-Stars, maybe?

even when the answer is a bit late, but your player make this stats in a lot of positions. The allstar get voted for every single position, so maybe he get some votes as PG after a good game as PG and the next game he play SF and the vote he earned there don't count for his PG votes. I never see a player mentioned twice in the votes, but i recognized that player should play nearly all the time at the same position to get in the ASD - so that player who are good in the MVP race sometimes ain't in the consideration of the ASD.

Another good example is my shooting guard won the three point contest. He is a easily the best player in my league and in 8 minutes of all star time had 17 points.. I think that's correct either way he was on fire the minutes he played so why didn't he play more minutes? This all star game stuff is just for fun .
