your idea it's not bad,but needs to be developed
Fist of all,you have to count only a certain amount of minutes played or season played and not hall of fame because it would be an in-game advanatge for supporters(only supporters have all of fame)
I don't like also the scouting of one rival player's ability or an improvement in training,I like the draft point for the potential

I think that there should be a coach as part of the staff, along with doctor, trainer, and PR-manager. Coaches can be obviously the same levels as the other staff members, but here's the catch: coaches can be former players (of your team or any team). If they were a former player, their specialty can be player experience, which maybe will increase player chemistry, or something along those lines. Another specialty can be, idk whatever, but we can decide that later if this idea ever happens. Thoughts?

I like the general idea of rewarding players who have reached retirement age (I would say 35) and have played 7+ seasons at your club.

I would do it on a grander scale.

IRL, ex-players also become physios and PR guys as well as coaches, so I think you should may be get the option to hire the player as your staff (any discipline) for a 1k signing bonus.

Their skill could be randomly determined but be heavily weighed to a 4 or 5 (say 90% of ex-players should be a 4 or a 5 in skill).

I also think theiir starting salary could be done by a formula relating to their final salary at your club and should increase at half-speed for a limited time - say 2 seasons. The half-speed salary progression reflects the loyalty the new staff member has to the club at the start of their new career.

I also feel ex-players should have a 50% chance of a talent, I think lthat crowd enthusiasm, career extension and taping injuries talent can all logically be related to the player's experience at the club.

This offers a real reward to the clubs that show loyalty to their players and a nice extra tactical trade-off between shortto mid-term opportunity cost and long-term reward.

Yes, but players never retire on your active team.

I have a suggestion related so I didn't want to make a new topic. Great suggestions here so far. But I thought it might be a good idea to let current staff level-up after time. I mean their salaries go up, so it would make sense. Maybe set up a time system like a level up after a certain number of seasons/games/months with the team. Or maybe for every $10,000 or something like that.
