Quite honestly, I feel that Motion is slightly more Point-Guard oriented than Run N' Gun. I like Run N' Gun because my 3 outer guys (PG, SG, SF) all get good amounts of shots, but with Motion, I feel that PG/SG will get a LOT more shots than SF.

From my experience, only like 2-3 games worth of Motion, however, I'm making the following guesses:

Motion:
PG-30% shooting
SG-30% shooting
SF-20% shooting
PF-12-15% shooting
C-5-8% shooting

RnG:
PG-27% shooting
SG-29% shooting
SF-25% shooting
PF-12-15% shooting
C-4-7% shooting

These are rough estimates based on shot quality and not referring to second-chance shots by offensive rebounds.

Motion is supposed to get you better % shots at the risk of more turnovers so you need good passing and handling on most of your players. Sometimes you don't see more assists because the teams using motion have the wrong skill set to use it. Run and gun is good if you have guys with great shooting and less great passing and handling,

In addition to what others have said, I also believe that using RnG will reduce the chance of gaining offensive rebound, as the guards take shots soon after they gain their possession, whereas using motion will give you more chance of gaining offensive rebound, since the big-men have time to settle down when they gain the possession.
