i would think it would hurt it, tradings lacks in some things.

1. We don't evolve players watching then play, we see direct to their skills.

2. We don't have professional Gm who are managing trade offers, which could become annoying to some players when he get X mails a la "how are Y skills and do you want to trade him against X"

3. And most important, in BB are teams who didn't work for their own glory, on a open market we should watch those money transactions but for trade we don't have hundreds eyes(the normal users) who could see if it was fair or not.

4. The BB market is pretty big, that you also could buy most players you want. So the easiest way of trading is selling your own player, and buy the player you like quite immediately.

About selling draft picks, could work within a league but i am not sure if it was good(and through the small market with fixed prices) - because it could change the draft quite drastic.

I don't see how that would benefit this game, unless there is a complete overhaul of the market system implementing multiyear contracts, a CB(B)A, bird rights and all. Probably too business oriented for my taste.

As an American, the whole concept of transfer lists and purchasing players from other teams is completely foreign to me because none of our major sports work that way. That being said, the transfer system is pretty well established in soccer and probably a few other sports and once you get used to it, you'll find that it makes things easier. You can even sell one player and wait a while to buy his replacement if you don't want to yet.

There is better way. Team could request to reveal skillset of player for themself by clicking a button. Owner could accept all requests automatically, accept them manually or deny all requests..

Then there has to be something which gives to these managers any feedback when this player appears on transferlist, because owner can get hungry if he will see a lot of interest for his player.

And that could be like pseudo-trading, but better than nothing.
