I like fast offenses, hate isolations and slow paced tactics. Read the manual and find out which tactic is best against which defense. There is no best offense in this game. Everything is relative so run and gun will work for some teams while for some teams it will work just in some games. It's very hard to answer to your question. It's not that simple.

There is no "best" offense. Each tactic has its advantages and disadvantages. You can build your team around specific tactics but that doesn't mean one tactic is better than another

It really depends on your team's strength. If you want to play a particular offense, keep that in mind when you are building your team.

Example:

I wanted to play a bruising inside game so I choose to play look inside. I have dominant inside players and guards who play solid defense and great passing. This allows me to get the ball inside more thus utilizing my strength. I built my team to play LI, but you could just as easily build your team to fit what style you want to play.

BASE OFFENSE :)

Most of the people never try it, or only try it at the very beginning of their BB career, so most of them have bad result and feeling about it.

Seriously every offense is based on it and the game simulation and computer coach is out of our control after setting.
So the best way is allow the PG to decide what to run at the opponent on the field.

i'm very new to BB and lost my first game and won my second along with my scrimmage just minutes ago. I see nothing wrong with Base Offense, even though I have noticed that my SG or SF tend to have about or more assists. other than that I also don't know how to make my PG more of a PG because from watching my games I barely see him do anything

Try all the offense and defense with different player.

Many people fall into the trap of putting all their money on 2-5 players and have no flexiblity in their lineup.
The noob only have 1 lineup and maybe 1 or 2 tactic, and max out their talent
the better one have 2l lineups with an inside/ outside reverse tactic, but they still max out
and i use BO as my base, and switch a player or 2 depending on the opponent, and i can tell u i have no best lineup or tactic, i just neutallize my opponent's offense and counter his weakness.

i think a really good tactic more managers should use is the "mix up your offense tactics" tactic.
noone has mentioned that one.

some offenses can be countered well by certain defenses.
So punish the manager that plays a 3-2 zone on you because he thinks you'll Run and Gun, by playing Look Inside
