I wouldn't train JR for a C trainee (and OD only if I want him to play PF), but having respectables there sure is a nice plus. Respectable JR Cs are like Channing Frye - they can pose a veritable matchup problem for opponents. It will never be their preferred mode of attack, but having second or third options on offense always helps. Respectable OD for Cs can be quite valuable though. It limits other Cs passing lanes (thus leading to more steals), allows them to defend against PFs if necessary, and makes it easier to train them or other players on non-main training positions.

i like then, in my experience it contributes to the defence(my backup C lack ID but have OD 8, and i am quite succesfull even when they start a lot because my main PF is also a trainee).

Also it is much easier to train a PF out of them, JS training isn't influenced by hight and also driving works quite ok.

I wouldn't train OD and JR past Respectable (for PF/C). Respectable is a pretty good level for an inside player.
Better concentrate on his inside skills, that's at least what I would do...

OD is a good secondary skill for big man, by limiting the matchup from receiving entry pass, forcing TO, preventing drive and attempting jump shot. 7 is good, 8 is nice, 9 is luxury for C

JR for big man is to create more space and hitting one or two 3 pt a game is nice. 6 is good...
