Currently, his salary is 18k, and next year it will be 37k (according to the salary calculatorhttp://www.how8.com/bb/index.php

so, its safe to say you have another season of productive training left. However, if you have noticed his training as slowed down, it is likely because of the elastic effect, which just in case you don't know, slows down training as your skills get farther and farther away from each other (such as Outside defence (14) and passing (7). So, I would train passing (at least to prominent) for maximum effect.

You can check with passing training - but he is near his cap point. My allstar stopped at 35 thousands salary with similar skills.

Caps are getting to lower salaries because of the salary reduction every season. Thats why I am wondering if I should sell him now, so I can get the most profit out of him.

From what I understand, "capping" happens at a certain total of skill points rather than at a salary. That is why salary is a rough estimate and is always a range, not an official number. This is from what I have read and less from what I have personally trained.

As for your theory...it could be right on I guess and what I understand could be old logic. I guess I haven't trained enough guys to their "caps" to figure that out on my own.

Is there then a definitive number of skill pops (or a range of numbers) for each salary? Is it posted before in a previous thread?

Has anyone had success training secondary skills of players that have capped?

For example, for the player mentioned in the first post (Ng Wai Kiong), if Slap you Silly trained JS or JR, it's doubtful that he'll pop because the pop would raise his salary significantly. What if Slap you Silly trained Inside Shot? A pop wouldn't raise the player's salary at all. Has anyone tried this? Or is the cap based more on total skill points?



the cap works there too, but maybe it getting that worse like when you continue to train main skills. But making it before he caps would make more sense, because they contribute less to the cap.

Somewhere (was an older thread on players capping) I reviewed the total skill points and salaries of allstar level potential players on the TL. There was a good sized sample of players with high salaries, and I would guess that most were likely capped.

From comparing the total skill points and the total salaries, it appeared that what controlled capping wasn't salary per se, but total skills. Guys who were focused only on primaries were able to get to very high salaries, but players who were more well rounded ended up at lower salaries.

Now, there are plenty of unknowns in this, such as potential sublevel, skills sublevels, and whether they were truly capped or not. But it was enough to convince me that total skill points is the governing factor in capping.

i would say it neither that or this ;) With lot of 1 on 1 training you get lot higher total skill point before training slows down, and multiskilled gain more total skilled points then three/four skilled one before capped but will come to a lower salary. For me it is something in betwen, so the skilled are weigted but sligthly different then with the salary(but the salary is the better estimation)

Nothing has been proven definitive...as most of BB's mysteries! lol Tangosz made a good post above me that I tend to agree with. CrazyEye seems to have a little bit different view....again it wouldn't be BB if this wasn't the case! haha
