Many countries have an off site forum where skills of NT players are posted. I would contact one of your NT managers to see what the setup is. If u have a look at your NT rosters u can see what type of wage is needed to make the team.

Even if you don't have an potential NT or U21 player, the USA offsite forum has a lot of good discussion and tips. Definitely worth checking out.

1. How do you get a player to the NT teams?

Train them. In order to have the best shot at getting a player on the team, you will need to do single position training with a minimum level 4 coach, probably higher. You will need to train them for anywhere for 4-7 years, depending on the country. Maybe longer. As to what to train, it is best to contact a scout or nt team manager from that country to get feedback on what it is they want. but remember, the coach when your player is 18 might not be the same one when he is finally ready to make the team.

2. How good do they need to be?

They will likely need to be a good/very good/ great 18 year old with high potential (MVP or higher), DEPENDING on which country they are from. a player does not need to be that good to play for, say the bahamas, but needs to be incredible to start for say, Poland. you can see the requirements for the US in an above post, and remember, worse/smaller countries have lower requirements. So, basically, it depends.

3. How do you know?
You have to ask the nt-manager or scout for advice, but see my caveat above.

hope this helps.
