Hi thanks for pointing this out... this is sort of a bug and sort of not. Basically when time runs out the team tries to get a shot off (that time being either the shot clock or the real clock). There is some small probability that the team doesn't get the shot off and results in a shot clock violation or time expiring. However, the bug is that in the case that it is the game clock running out, we are reporting it as a shot clock violation when it should just be end of the game. ideally we would change the presentation to say something like... player X rises up to take a shot at the buzzer.. its good! wait...wait... no... the referees are going to review the timing of the release... and upon closer examination the shot won't count!

so although it is a presentation bug, the result is what we want, you don't always get a shot up at the end of the game.

thanks for making us aware of it though, and when we get to redoing some of the match viewer we'll add in this sort of presentation improvement and make the GE speak to it.
