In the play-by-play could be a good idea.
Someone proposed to show tactics at halftime in the match viewer.

I agree with this suggestion.
You cannot affect the game anymore from 15 minutes before the start anyways, so there is no reason to keep it hidden until the end.

Initially, i thought this idea was good.

but then I thought about it. I think a lot of the excitement, discovery, and just general 'fun' about watching a game, is in the NOT knowing what tactics the opposition has used. And then the discovery part at the end of the game.

i find that experience to be an essence of the actual game itself and i kinda like it like that. :)

Its a bit like a stripper. When she rocks up, she has some clothes on, and then after a while, she starts to take off some more and more until eventually, viola!
if she rocked up naked, it would be great! but then you would miss out on all the fun in getting there.

sorry if thats an inappropriate comparison.

Me, I just have one thing against this proposition, it's the fact to know right at the beginning. Unless the opponent coach tell you, it's impossible to guess his choice, IG or IRL. After 24 minutes it becomes possible. So I wouldn't mind if it is shown but during halftime.

i would prefer it them too, not because the realistic aspect but for the fun of guessing in the first minutes of the game. Did i have a lucky strech in the offense, or is the opponent defense off etc. And aftera while, i like to be sure but at least the first 5 min i prefer no to know.

i think it's ok, especially for the effort
