May be a blessing in disguise. You'll run over the bot teams in competition, helping increase your attendance, and when all's said and done, you're likely to wind up with a pretty good draftee class, as the bots don't scout.

And to answer your question, I'm not sure of the frequency in US, but in Ireland any teams below the II level are likely to be in a III league with all bots.

Thank you.
Good to know. Looks like I need to start training my cheerleaders to add "the robot" to their repertoire of dance moves.
We want our visiting teams to feel welcome.

No disrespect to the above poster who said you'd likely get a good draftee because you're in an all-bot division, because what he says is true for the most part and makes sense.......... but this is not true most of the time. I just promoted from a Div. V league where only three human teams. I spent $20K per week on scouting and had some great draftees lined up. Then the draft processes this morning and I got crap. You've got to be lucky to still get the studs when you're a top team in these bot leagues. The bot teams randomly pick up the best players and then never train them, wasting MVP and HOF potential players all the time.

Also, yes, you should have an easy time winning against these teams with the players you have today, but you'll need to trim some of the fat from the roster. You have 18 players on your roster. Any player you're not going to use, get rid of. Because you're not going to make a real good profit with the money you're currently spending while in this lower division.

And you'll have a difficult time filling your seats, too, at least for the first 3/4 of the season. I went 20-2 in my Div. 5 league, and my ticket prices were identical to what you have now, and it took me until the last two weeks of the season to finally sell out a game. But make sure to grow your stadium, because you'll almost for sure be moving up to Div. 4 after this season.

most team who get demoted from the second last division face tthis problem, since the placement of new team is a bit weird.

The promotion/demotion runs normal, but new team join the first empty division starting with X.1, then looking for a spot in X.2 etc.

still undecided?

And yes draft is always a lottery, and it dn't makes it easier when 1/3 of the scouted player are already gone when it is your turn, ut the chanche is still quite good.

I think that if you are the only active team you are quite likely to have 3 of your top 6 choices. From what I have seen are bot teams not stealing especially many of the top drafts.

I got my top two drafts and they were crap. I did not order my draftees as I decided to spend no points in this draft as I finished first in an active league.

I would most likely spend $20k a week if I ended up alone in a league. It would cost around $300k but you could potentially have two really good drafts at the same time. Not sure if it is economically better than $10k a week though as you have quite good chance to get your choice then as well.

And Crazy-Eye is correct, it is very common that you end up in an inactive league if you relegate. It all depends on how well lowest league is filled up. In Sweden there are only teams to fill about half of the lowest league at the moment so ending up in half of the leagues will mean mainly bot teams.

i bet against this, alone the third pick is predefined since it is the last player left. Also the list aren't sorted totally random, and better player have a bit higher(very little) chanche to get drafted. but 2 of the first 6 are fine too. I would also suggest investing 20k(or 10).

Yeah it's probably an blessing, you can easily win your league, train your players out of position, make money, get the only educated draft picks, make your supporters happy and get the season ticket bonus at the end of the season!

Forgot that if you win the league you will have the last draft pick and of course will it be very odd then if it is a decent player. One player in Swedish division III had two outstanding picks this draft. He drafted first as his team was so poor it even failed to beat bots so that of course increases his chance of getting two good draft picks. But first round are likely to be top 2 of listed players and second round top 6 of listed I think and that is a reason to spend much on draft.
