yer great suggestion! Some of those that you have suggested specifically i dont like, but thats just me!

I know some work has been done by *gasp - I forget!** someone.... sorry i forget who. but they did an awesome excel spreadsheet that actually allows you to analyse the game based on inisde vs outside shots, who defends who etc etc. Its a great tool and allows you to analyse the game.

The spreadsheet is often using the commentary to produce the stat.
eg: goes baseline and throws it down 1 handed" obviously means an inside shot.

So, if they were to increase/change the commentary for the game, it would be nice if it was kept in line with the current logic/rules.
- Show who is defending
- If no mention of defense then assume open shot
- Differentiate between outside shot/inside shot etc etc.
etc etc.

Maybe all that needs to happen is somebody listens to an NBA game and just makes note of some common phrases that are said by the better commentators. Depends on whether the game is trying to replicate 'game information' or 'Game Commentary'.

Also language may be an issue? dunno... Otherwise good suggestion!
