I think there is such a hidden attribute, but I don't think it's new. I'm certain the BBs would mention if they added it, there is no benefit not to.
A couple seasons ago, I had a player get proficient GS at least 9 weeks in a row, and I have other players who play good minutes consistently who can't get into good GS. There is a random factor though, so it could just be luck.

I actually don't think ther's such an attribute. CP Indicates that a player with respectable GS that plays Ideal minutes (60) will only have a 58% chance to raise to strong. Ther's allways the 38% he'll stay at respectable, which is a very big chance. raising to Proficient BTW, is only about 7% during that week. after hitting strong GS, keeping him there, and even making him grow in GS, is much easier. A player with strong (8) game shape, will have much better chances. Playing ideal minutes, ther's a 56% chance his GS will stay strong, 27% it'll drop to respectable and 17% it'll reach proficient. maybe chances vary and depend on other factors, but the principle stays the same. Raising GS is harder than keepin it, playing Ideal minutes. You must've gotten hit by a run of bad luck. I have a player who won't get past respectable as well, it hurts my team a lot since he's my star player. All I can advise you is keeping ideal minutes. Train GS if you must, though it is highly not reccomended.
