I have the ball, 8 points ahead, 1:03 time remaining the game. No faults. Tactics is patience!

Then my SG tries a 3-pointer when still 17 secs on a clock?

Should I fire this guy immediately or is it a bug with this software engine?

There are actually NO players over 14 years in Finland at least, who shoot behind 3-point line at that situation (17 secs still).

Is this a bug?

No.

Not every player will do exactly what they should be doing every single time.

I may have said this in another thread once upon a time, but it would be most excellent if this kind of behaviour (let's call it the "Ricky Davis effect") was inversely correlated with experience.

(Not that Ricky Davis doesn't have lots of experience, although perhaps in practice he might act as if inexperienced due to, um, outside factors that might contribute to memory loss.)

I dealt with The Ricky Davis Experience here in Boston.

Closely resembles The Julian Tavarez Experience.

Not a good answer! But very, very typical!

Of course players do not react always as they should. Not a surprise for anyone!

But my question was totally different and for that, the answer was "whatever".

Even small juniors have, in our country, understood how to play last seconds according to situation, as well as BuzzerBeater Teams do when they are under!

But why teams are acting like total brainless idiots when they're ahead, and the clock plays last minute?

Just to have more exciting (tight) game... or what??? I can't get the idea!

May I have an honest answer? Please!

Bunter

P.S. I repeat, NO player will try 3 points in that situation I mentioned, no amateur, nor pro!

Great!

So, That's your attitude and the way to develope this game.

"I´m always right and ### with the others who do not understand MY opinions!"

You certainly will have a beautiful manager game in the future, without any bugs.

Thanks for nothing, I won't disturb your intellectual discussions any more.

Those kind of players will have a free ticket to Timbuktu if they are doing that. Think about the coach who is yelling to play until the whizzle... if needed.

Maybe I just fire my SG before I'm totally kicked out of this game :)

Take a deep breath.

"I´m always right and ### with the others who do not understand MY opinions!

No-one in this thread who has replied to you has taken this attitude, in my opinion.

The argument people are making is that players do make dumb decisions, even when they should know better. I don't think the situation you described should happen often (at a high level of play, at least), but I definitely don't think it would never happen.

Sorry for all respondents,

Just got a little bit angry when I was following last minutes of the game today and noticed some strange tactics with "my" players and the coach.

There should be a way to act as a coach (somehow), when playing these last critical, hectical moments of the game. Today the teams offense playing was catastrophical and just opposite compared to pre-defined tactics.

Maybe in the future it's better that I only check out the results after the game?

Nah, just understand that players make stupid decisions from time to time, regardless of the situation.

Do you know who Chris Webber is?
