I have been promoted twice before with a team that I once owned in the past. There are always teams in upper divisions that lose their owners and open up other spots than just the teams that are being relagated. So while I understand that is not how it typically works, it does happen. I'm just looking to be considered is all.

Not to mention I may very well be in the most dead forum league in all of BuzzerBeater. Rather be elsewhere where there is life.

Not how it works. When owners leave and go bot, they get replaced with teams who just signed up, not by people lobbying for their positions.

I've felt your pain before about dead forums. But you've gotta promote or relegate if you want out there.

Teams get promoted to replace bots based upon their record. With 2 losses you aren't going to be among the top 8-10 Div.IV teams that will get to promote that way this season. According to the last post this thread (214659.489) there are 5 22-0 teams and at least 9 21-1 teams who are ahead of you for bot promotion.

I've finished 22-0 twice and lost both championships and received promotions, so I know it happens. I have no problem if there are other teams that are clearly better fitted for those spots.

And as you should see from the the thread I linked, that is exactly how it happens. A completely automated process whereby the top teams who did not win their leagues are selected to fill any additional openings.

The post I linked says there are 5 teams who did not win their championship but finished 22-0. There are at least another 9 teams who did not win their league who are 21-1. An earlier post in that thread had said that there would be at least 8 bot promotions and possibly up to 10.

So assuming the information in those posts are correct, you can identify the teams who will be promoting to replace the teams which are being replaced because they lost owner rather than are being relegated based on record.
