hi i am new and would like to know if you can be promoted if you win your division even if your not a supporter?

If you win the playoffs, you become the champion of your league and automatically promote (with a boost to attendance for something like the first half to two thirds of the season, which is very desirable). If you have the best record in the league for the regular season but do not win the playoffs, you may earn a promotion based on the number of extra spots opened up by bots being demoted down to V from higher leagues. These extra spots are given to the best record/PD teams who won their conference but not their playoffs, for your entire league level. These extra spots also do not get the attendance boost, so it's definitely not the ideal way to promote.

But in terms of Supporter/lack thereof, the game is specifically designed with one of core tenets being that Supporters should receive no real ingame advantages. There are some nice conveniences (saved TL searches with up to 8 skills, private leagues and federations) but anything that can be accomplished in game can be accomplished just as effectively with or without supporter.
