I guess my point is the difference between an all star with a $50,000 salary should be significantly more than a player who doesn't make the all star team with a $50,000 salary.
As it stands now (I think at least), two players on two different teams with equal influence on their respective teams and equal salary will yield the same merch boost. If one of those is an all star, they should yield more for their team. For example, Kevin Durant has almost an identical salary to Rudy Gay, but they certainly don't sell an equal amount of jerseys.
