I think (emphasis on think) that you're going to find that the clock on the screen isn't precisely what the system has for a time.

Again, that's educated speculation.

Well its been right for every other auction i've been in on both sides of the table. Also, if its not its very misleading then and a fairly big hole in the game.

The clock gets initialized when you load a page... it is then up to your computer to count time correctly from there... that can go wrong for a number of reasons. I'd suggest that maybe the error was on your computer and perhaps not with a transfer going early... for as you say... all the rest matched up fine. Computers don't make arbitrary decisions.

Ahhh, ok. so the official word from BB is that its my computers fault? I only ask because i've been noticing alot of error pages lately with both me and other people. Also, 2 out of the 3 players whos auctions i believe went early sold for less then what i paid for them. Which doesn't seem right considering i trained them and recieved multiple pops for all.

Thanks for your help.

Also, to make matters worse i see that the best one of the lot has been automatically put back on the transfer list.

Cleo Siazzu.

clearly i got shafted!!!!

has anyone else experienced auctions closing early?

i realize that there have been problems with various pages/infrastructure the last week, but none of those things would result in an auction ending early.

what browser/operating system are you using? would you like to get online (skype/aim?) with me and verify that the time is registered the same across both computers? do you have another computer to test the time simultaneously?

i actually checked my timer with other auctions the day after and today, the 2nd April and my clock seems to be accurate. Also my scrimmage today started on the right time.

I'm not sure what can be done about my auctions anyway, but i lost around 40,000. Thanks for your help.

Just to add to the speculation here, one thing that's caused the clock on my pc to run slow several times is if I have any antivirus/spyware checking programs running a check. That takes up a lot of CPU time and could cause the exact problem you've had with the clock on the page running slower than the server time.

was this on an extended bid or the original bid?

i'm wondering if there is a bug only on extended bid times, and we aren't seeing it often because it doesn't make sense to wait till the end of the extended time to bid as its gonna get pushed back 5 minutes from when you made the overbid regardless... so unless you are trying to make the auction last longer in hopes your opponent gets annoyed and gives up people wouldn't notice this.

It was an extended bid and the reason why I was going to submit my bid only 30-40sec before the deadline was that I was waiting for the bidding war to stop, i watched my game and suddenly i saw there was around 1 minute left, but it doesnt matter anymore, atleast not for me though MJdunk might be a little angry loosing potensial money. But i have now find myselv other players that iam going to get, iam just not hoping the history will repeat itself:P
