First would you mind telling us the age, height and potential of your trainee?

In my experience when a PG has low ID it can cause foul trouble if he goes against another PG who has high driving and decent IS.

Holocron's right, your guy could end up being an 80k pg or whatever, and a simple PG with half the salary---> high OD, driving and inside shot can abuse him.

First is if you're trying to try for U21 I would disregard anything we have to say and ask Phyr the USA U21 Manager.

Now if you're trying to make him just for your team and serviceable then I'd at least up his ID to 5-6. That may take a season of training but then you can start pounding out OD/Driving/ and Passing.

I wouldn't train a guy with 1 IS to be a point guard. SG might be better. The 1 IS wont affect jump shots.
