Could be and it sounds terrible, but I think that would be unlikely and besides I'm not advocating a significant effect. Let's say each training session is 1/10th down in one skill and 1/10th gained elsewhere. Maybe just limit it to secondaries. I think people would try to make players more salary efficient like getting rid of rebounding on guards or rebalancing the outside skills of a big man.

Not a fan of this. I feel like it can be too easily abused and is too involved with the training.

I think that's a legitimate concern.

? That was just a negative minded response eheh, why not the oposite?! This could be the solution to those bad trained problems too!
I like this post mainly because experienced users (like me :S) ignore a lot of players when we look at the market, because they are bad trained and get ignored even for having super salaries or for having a lot of passing/jump range compared to driving/jump shot. This hurts even more when your looking at a MVP+ player from your country that you would really use if not that badly trained.
Saying this I guess you can understand the potential of this feature, make some corrections to players to go on your gamestyle. When talking about numbers, something like improving training to 130% speed and -30% on the skill demoted would be awsome!
I'm not considering implemention dificulties on this, and what this would mean on 2nd look...but I like it!
