I've tried to replicate the problem on an iPhone 5 with iOS 8.1 but it seems fine, no problems at all. Maybe it was related to the high database load we had last week?

it might be related to DB load, however I am still experiencing some long delay: Safari shows that some transfer starts, then hangs up for a while (up to 10 secs), then it proceeds to the end but often respond with some error message ("sorry etc.") or even a bad request. Is that any multiple exchange of information (especially credentials) happening meanwhile, affecting slow networks?
