Strange that the news post says countries with 20 or less teams and Japan makes the list despite having more than 20. I won't bother asking a BB for an explanation but hopefully you'll now see why I was initially mistaken.

Interestingly Singapore has the same number of teams now as Japan. Was only one different at the time of the news post but it would seem inevitable that with the ups and downs that a country small enough to be merged when it actually occurs would miss out because they had one or two more people when the merge was announced.
