Nothing out of the norm. Enthusiasm drops faster the closer you are to unstoppable, and continues to drop every day until I reaches a certain point (can't remember when).
Since you used normal, it didn't increase your enthusiasm, but it also doesn't mean it won't go down later on, unless maybe when it's at 5 or something I think?
Iirc it did happen to me as well throughout the season (being kicked out of the cup early on and using normal during All-star Week), so it's not related to the site delays.
Also if you actually read the bug thread, it was mentioned that upon entering a match, you will have a maximum enthusiasm of 9 if you don't have cup matches.
