There is no 'resting' factor its all about current game shape and skills when they play.

I've heard a couple rumors/theories before that some people thought stamina drops were correlated to player minutes, so if you believe that, "resting players" would in a sense save them from an extra stamina drop every 2-3 seasons maybe, but I don't think there is any impact big enough to warrant "resting" your starters when you need them.

50-70 minutes for GS is the only reason to rest players so that they can get optimal minutes in my eyes.

Yeah I’ve never thought that about stamina, I just know other people have mentioned it.

I also agree with you on the GS stuff. It has always seemed to me like GS was based more off of the last 3 weeks minutes not just the last week.

On another note, good luck this season for your U21 NT. You guys have an awesome roster.
