In terms of elastics, yes. Tho at 6'6" I'd go with outside training first coz his ID will pop with OD. Plus jacking up his IS via One on One forwards should also provide him with elastics, so I reckon it's something you can fix later on in his career (although you'd be playing a high salary guy in C)

Well, i do not want to take over this thread... but a general question about the mechanic of elastics:

Related skills +3, +4 ? or the higher, the better? At some point the main skill will come close or is wanted to be higher than the related skill (e.g. OD vs. DV) so when is the point, training will drastricly slow down?

regards, Ted

It's exponential. Imagine an S shaped curve with +0 being the center. The difference between +0 and +1 in skills is not that big but the differnce between +5 and +6 already a lot more. Once you get to +10 levels you'll sometimes see double pops (players ging from pitiful to inept, skipping awful for example).

Source: We used to have an old external site that gathered data on elasticity and it modeled this curve.

Actually a great training facility
I can confirm double ups are a thing, one person in lithuanian bb discord got a double passing skill up.

Do we have an elastics thread which we can read more about it in detail?

Sorry I only vaguely remember this website from years ago when elastic effect was introduced. There were probably threads about it but I wouldn't know where t find them. Joey or Joseph Ka and Nachtmahr were the main researchers so possibly one of them was involved.

Ah I see. Thanks. I have found some very detailed threads on training but surprisingly never about elastic effects. I guess it might take some time to find it. Haha

That was a long time ago ;) JoeyKa had detailed numbers.

I was one of the first guys who trained SB primally and only after that ID. The effect was nice. Currently I have a 21 y/o in Utopia, who received such a Training. IT worked like a charme ;)

Thank you for your explanation.

Given that no skill is useless, i still gave some doubts.
E.g. extraordanary high driving, or nachtmahrs example with Blocking.

This training also Costs some time (which is needed for other skilks) and pushes the skills to hights qhich i probably dont want. (Salary- and rostercompilation-wise)?

What do you think?

Regards, Ted

As usual, it depends by which kind of player you want/need: e.g. in case of 3-2 defense I'd like a couple of Centers with very high ID and SB, with ID and SB levels more or less the same. And litlle of the other skills to lower the cost.
