There are many other options than adding more injuries in a game that forces you into playing players you are training 48 minutes in a game (or 45 for some now). Seems like this will affect teams training players the most.

Some other option for short rosters like teams must have at least 8 players in the lineup or player performance declines even more heavily with more minutes.

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. This is a game killer for me due to the fact that trainees will now be affected by this development as well.

Isn't there a better option to stop these 5-6 rotation teams without it affecting trainees? The simple solution seems to be to just enforce an 8-man lineup for all teams or else any particular game, not following said criteria, will result in a forfeit. No increased injuries. No stamina depletion.

Speaking of which, I remember a story about Phil Jackson, where Shaq would be tired and ask for a sub in key moments of games . . . and Phil Jackson would criticize Shaq about his fitness and cardio, and in an attempt to motivate Shaq to improve his fitness, Phil would tell him something along the lines of: Wilt Chamberlain played 48 minutes a game. Point being: players CAN play 48 minutes a game if their fitness is high enough.

If the game is on the line, or is important enough, players like LeBron and MJ would play 40+ minutes in key games. They rose to the occasion, in the clutch, not crumble in the dwindling final minutes of a game; even if they played 40+ minutes during the game. That's because their fitness was supreme.

I Support the idea of needing to penalize/limit the efficiency of Small teams...
But my opinion is that before implementing this said restriction... Buzzerbeater should have first provided its users a way/tool to set/micro-manage our Players' weekly Max-minutes played individually...

ATM it's a no for me...

-edit-
but in all fairness BBs doesn't clearly explain how this current change really will work... I think it is fair to let a player have a bigger chance of being injured if his weekly minutes from all the games including the BBM/BBB that is not Training related games and Gameshape...if the player totaled over 110 Minutes for the first week and then the chance to be injured will increase more as he plays in this regular pattern for the games to come...

I worry that testing this in scrimmages will affect many trainees. Scrimmages are when trainees usually play the full 48 minutes to maximize training.

That's a solid point for managers looking to get trainees 48 minutes in scrimmages when their CUP games end, such as myself. This could lead to increased amount of trainees being injured sooner, rather than later. That's very unfortunate to say the least.

I hate the idea of punishing players for playing 48 mins. It harms training players way too much, especially if you want to train 3 players in single position training.

I think the adjustment around it should be based on playing too many minutes week to week rather than in a single game.if players are playing 90+ mins a week it should increase their injury risk. This would reduce 5 man teams as they can’t just play 5/6 guys in every competitive game and would have to have some sort of rotation players to manage their minutes during those games

In my opinion the best fix is a combo of forcing eight players to suit up, and tweaking the substitution habits of the “coach”.

Make us dress eight players, and make it extremely hard for more than 1-2 of your players to get 48 mins each game. This way, players can choose 1-2 players to set as starter/backup/reserve for trainee minutes or for stars, and the other positions they are forced to assign a backup. If no backups are set, the coach chooses three of the players to not get full minutes and brings in the subs anyway.

"Do you guys not have phones?"

This is what I remembered after reading the news.

It is terrible when a game designer feel that he could teach players how to play his game.

Very arrogant, might kill bb, sad.
