Looking at both teams’ rosters, I honestly would’ve expected a larger loss; to be within 2 is impressive.
My best guess for a fourth quarter collapse is stamina. If you don’t have adequate stamina on your players, that last quarter will get you big time. One example of this is my highest-salary player, Paderne
(50365911). Even with 8+ game shape, the games where he plays starter minutes typically see him a rating of 14.0-15.0, but his backup experiences have yielded some extraordinary ratings (including an unprecedented 20.5 earlier this season!).
Another good argument for the game (not necessarily just the 4th, but in general) is that it appears, among others, your backup center was thoroughly outplayed to the tune of 5 fouls in 12 minutes. His backup big in particular (listed PF in box but clearly played both) bullied him and your interior defense to a 5-9 shooting day and +18. Couple that with the rebounding on both the starting bigs (16 apiece and 9 total ORB) and in general, and you’ve got the makings of a rough day in the paint.
