Yesterday was the 2nd game of our U21 campaign against Japan!
And once again, our young guns brought home the win. (81877) Even better, it was against one of our direct rivals for qualification to the next round !

We deliberately let them win the rebounding battle (we knew they were way stronger in that area anyway) and focused on other aspects where we could make a real impact despite our fragile roster. And it paid off ! This great win puts us one step closer to the second round, even if there’s still a lot left to do, of course.

The players are improving nicely, and I’ve got some great feedback on their training plans. Still, we’ll have to rely on our key guys staying in good game shape since we don’t have much bench depth.

Next Monday we’ll face U.A.E., and we’ll be chasing a third straight win, which would be a huge step toward qualification ! But we’ll need to prepare that game very seriously.

Big thanks to everyone supporting our national teams

Go Malaysia!!!

Hi everyone !
For this third match of the season, we played against U.A.E., and once again we came back with the win, our third in a row ! ((81880)

Our opponent today took a few tactical risks, but they didn’t quite hit the mark. Our strategy since the start of the season has been working quite well, and it allowed us to avoid the Outside GDP, which I had somewhat anticipated !

We’re now three teams in the group with a 3-0 record. Qualification for the second round isn’t officially secured yet, but it’s looking really, really good !

Sure, we’ve benefited from a favorable schedule so far, playing the two strongest teams last, but it wasn’t guaranteed from the start that we’d be with such a record and in this position !

Game shapes are starting to become interesting, but I’ll keep insisting every week on how important they are, alongside training ! Those are the two main factors for success.

Next week, we’ll be facing Saudi Arabia, before finishing against the two powerhouses, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Thanks to everyone who takes care of our players, and a big thank you as well to those training the younger ones.
The goal is clearly to keep progressing and ensure continuity over the seasons.

Go Malaysia !

Hi everyone!

Great news, we’re officially qualified for the 2nd round after this 4th consecutive win against Saudi Arabia ! (81885)
At the start of the season, I really didn’t think, and I mean really didn’t think, that we could be in this position after just 4 games.

From my point of view, the season is already a success.
We’ll finish this second round with two impossible-to-win games against Hong Kong and Taiwan. The result won’t really matter, we’ll mainly focus on getting ready to enter the 2nd round in the best possible shape.
We’ll try to pick up a few wins in that stage, while also slowly starting to think about next season.

The present matters a lot, getting positive results is of course the ultimate goal, but making sure we have long-term stability season after season is just as important to me.
Thanks to everyone who trains players for the malaysian national teams !

Go Malaysia!

Hi !

On Monday we faced Taiwan in our 5th official game of the season. As expected, we lost. (81888) Despite our good GDP, Taiwan played Normal, which killed our slim chances right from the start.
Their choice to manage enthusiasm that way is rather surprising, but well… that’s how it is!

Next Monday we’ll play our last game of the 1st round against Hong Kong. We won’t be able to beat the world #3. After that, we’ll have a friendly match before starting the 2nd round.

Finally, as you probably noticed in another thread, Westri will be putting a young U21 prospect on the market after the All-Star break. This player will mainly need OD. I’m trying to find him a serious new manager, so if any of you are interested, feel free to contact me by PM.

Thanks to everyone for your support !

Go Malaysia!
