The level of your doctor doesn't have any effect on recovery from injuries. A better doctor will lessen the severity of injuries. If you had a better doctor at the time of the injury, your player might have had a 1 week injury, or might have even been available for the next game.
Once a player is injured, count on him being out at least as long as the injury says.
