What seems common everywhere is "I don't understand BB"
Once again I repeat what I've said some time ago, is not cleat at all why you win or why you lose, without any possibility to understand the game is losing appeal.

Not to question the "I don't understand BB" crowd or anything, but.... is it always clear to you why you win or lose in real life? I mean... you could play the same team multiple times and the result won't be the same every time, right? Same goes for timing - your team could be having an awesome week and beating everyone and then the next week, nobody's making shots. It happens.
Not to say that this explains the way the game works, but why would you want things to be so predictable?

There is a big difference between your division and mine. When I started to play BB you could easily understand which teams were better than your and you could understand if you won because you had a good time or thanks to random.
In my division the teams are more or less at the same level and it seems to be completely blind no one explaination is "realistic"; BB Forest said that ratings aren't reliable at all, a little bit better are the MRs but you can check 100 games and you can see with your eyes a lot of teams winning even if they had lower MRs.

For the original poster, it is pretty obvious that after playing crunch time at home, the levels of defense and rebounding would be much less than playing on the road/neutral site and a lower enthusiasm (as a result of the crunch time from the previous week).
Ned's point is another issue entirely - with Serie A so far being the exception as probably the most evenly competitive league.
