You know what? You suck. You know who also sucks? The douches who regulate the economy in this game. Anyone else feel like BB is getting stagnant? Or sick of training skills that don't seem to have any influence on the outcome of a game? Or sucking in general?

I'd also like to point out that i have pretty much mailed it in this season, in the hope that I might have some decent inside players next season as training outside skills is unabashedly hopeless. Or maybe I just suck. Please discuss.

Funny that I've read the aforementioned post half a dozen times switching inside for outside. I find that the toughest thing for me this season is that it appears like I peaked a season too early and am playing in a league that has secondary players that completely outclass mine.

I was handed outside skilled players initially and have stuck with that and have been very successful so far. There are also people who are unabashed inside trainers that are very successful. Maybe something is incomplete or done improperly in your training....everyone else is working under the same constraints as you.

This may get me bashed, but I don't think the economy is the issue. It's the fact that we all started at different times and entered a rushing game that is quick to evolve.

I think you will find the ecomomy will start to help you. It's a salary cap to prevent a team like mine who just came down from the top division from bank rolling. Arenas are being capped, Free Agents are gone after this year, and a bigger emphasis is being placed on training Hi Potential players in one position. Next Season a further strain on how you make money is coming - Localization revenue.
Could you imagine starting out now? It would really suck.

Also, keep in mind that you are still in the top 64 teams in the USA (a group of over 3,000 users). That is pretty good percentages and if you scoured around the other countries, you will find that Div II here is tougher than in other countries.

The NBBA relegatees struggle just as much as we all do. You think I like the fact I was facing some of the top teams in the US and losing? Losing sucks, but those things happen. The fact is only 1 team promotes here. You have 2 choices - win today, or win tomorrow when your ready.

It's not like it's costing you anything other than time or if your a supporter, 8 bucks for a month.

I am not going to trash talk either as I am learning at this level. I was training big men but was getting beaten by teams that solely had PG/SG/SF players and NO big guys in Div III so I swithed last year to training guards and finally got promoted to Div II. So I get here and see my SG and SF are not Div II caliber (at least in my mind) so I am working on it.

As for the economics, they are what they are, I just live with it and plan around it. At one point I had two big guys LoBianco and Flanagan that were close to playing the U-21 NT but I could not afford to keep them in div III, I was a scoosh from going bankrupt. So I sold Flanagan and moved on....

After being picked for last in the division, which appears to be one of the toughest, I am trying to figure out how to not get relegated and keep training.....

the first 20-30 users who joined are more or less a cabal imo. is juice a good manager, not really for me. anyone who joined in season 1 has a huge leg on the rest of us, or season 2 for that matter (note i joined season 2 but didnt play actively at all so i caught the tail end of it)

i remember back then the markets were SUPER illiquid. i bought a relative stud for 35k, trained him a month and resold for 500k after he had 2 pops (one to strong js)

why? strong js guys could easily go for 500k if they had sideskills.

i sold fairly but bought super cheap. the guys that had 2 full seasons to do that made millions im sure. i think i caught the tail end as i said and did it maybe once or twice (youd have to search my transfer history)

i think that is what really matters about success. now manhattan is right, its hard to make money. players dont sell for the same price, training isnt as fast (season 4 i think training speed was near doubled as a one off, WTF!)

so yeah.

its not that the old people (and me) are good managers, we just were first in.

and if you started in d1, you just cant be the bottom 25%.

You are absolutely right, but it can be done. I started mid season 4 and have won 2 championships and made the semifinals the 2 seasons in between. This season...I think that I am running a borderline playoff team.

You made me go look it up. In our league, there are 7 teams starting in season 2, 7 teams starting in season 3, and 2 starting in season 4. I'd say that at least some empirical evidence backing us up that starting earlier was an advantage.

Yea i started a little into season 3, but I didn't have too much of an idea of what I was doing.
I trained big men because thats all I had pretty much in John Marcum and Howie Brock, so I didn't have an edge per say over anybody.
But getting around season 5 or so is when I really began to pick up the peices and really dove into the mechanics of the game and how I should build my team and tactics and stuff like that.
It took me a while honestly, so really you could say I was almost like I had started in season 5 or later, but i'm still here in DII with a decently competitive team I'd say, no where near NBBA caliber though, but I'm working on it, and i think now I know how I can become that type of caliber.

I'm just not sure I will have the funds to support the salaries..

well it's official. my bullshit first round loss to a D.V team is going to get me relegated.

It really sucks this game is based on - enthusiasm. Plus the way they changed HCA makes it more important to win in the cup and not in league.... I hate it and would love for it to go away!

That said, you are not too far off the pace and everyone will be out of the cup within the next month. Survive as best as you can. I was in the NBBA plus a long cup run and still finished in last so we know the opposite is just as possible.
