There are very few situations where a FCP is the best defense.

What is the best defense against run and gun??
Thank

It really depends. Someone said 1-3-1 which may be the best choice but you give up a lot of rebounding. Also, you're taking a big risk. What if your opponent switches things up and plays an inside game? You're toast if he does.

1-3-1 basically will limit most of the guards and sf from doing their normal damage, but keep note almost all the time in this kind of D the offense big men will probably have a career high all time.

2-3 works perfectly fine if you have players to take advantage of it. it lowers the numbers of cheap points, it increases the number of rebounds. if a team is beating you with you applying 2-3, then they are so good that they will beat you anyway.

of course it depends on the opponent but i would probably still prefer 2-3. they will hit threes but when at least my players will have the rebound when they miss. also i must say ive never seen a team that hit more than half of his three pointers, this is not have to be the case all the time for sure but still it makes more sense to defend inside and control the boards.

you won't give up much rebounds with 3-2, even 1-3-1 will give you the most def. Boards and against 2-3 you hit a lot more 3 Pointers and medium jumpers - so that in the end you get the same amount of rebs or less because they are less oppurtunities to grap def. boards.

Not if your opponent has inside based SGs and an inside based SF, and plays a base offense.
