Well, this strategy is really interesting, but I think it has a few disadvantages:

1. This plan only works with PG/SG players;
2. You develop slower that the teams which train a player for a short term.

The second point is wrong,because train a player for some season allows you to grow every week,so you can improve faster than users that train players for short time,because they had always to start to train their young player from lower points,so losing competitivity and money(because of the worse results) in the short period,and when their players became better,they had to sell again their trainees so restarting the cicle

I'm talking not only about 18year old players you know and secondly the young ones should play in scrimmages (though, last season two of my trainees played in league being 18year old and it didnt stop me from wining the league) :)

Buying a well trained 20 or 21 years old players requires a lot of money on the market,so sell a player to buy another of the same level in the same role doesn't seem to have very much sense....if you sell a 23 years old and want to buy at the same price a 20years old,the level of the 20 years old would surely be lower,so the speech is almost the same

It depends what you mean by well trained center. Because well trained centers or power forwards are very rare on TL. Much more rare than good guards.

But not multiskilled center is not good center, so you can't expect high price for such a player.

Maybe there is a problem that there are plenty of center as you mentioned, probably much more than guards as you mentioned.

Yes, and this doesn't change the fact that this strategy works better with guards than centers :)

First of all, congratulations for your post. Its really hard for a manager to find such a team in a big community and you posted interesting things to comment. Apart from that I always said it, there are lot of good managers on Spain on Div III-IV(ofc on I-II ;) ) but for different reasons its really hard to promote on competetive leagues.

I know both players, its by far the best SG-SF i've seen since season 4 on the youth spanish team. Of course im not going to tell their skills, but im really impressed this manager manage to train such a good SG-SF, plus he is training with a trainee level7 during all this seasons(im not sure if during this 4 seasons but at least, 2 think yes.).

About those who said: ''he is going to pay lot on salaries next season'' he wont at all. He trained really well so his salaries wont rise much, its the advantatge of training on a multiskilled way, you dont have to pay huge amounts of money on salarys so if he fail this season to promote he can try it next season with better conditions.

Also if at the end he decides to give up this strategy(from my opinion it can be really usefull, but it needs like 4-5 seasons thats over 1-2 years no?), he can sell both players the SG-SF to start a new team. I dont know how the TL would value them, but for me Bañales is a top SF around 8M and Franco can be valued around 7M without problem.

I really dont know wether if this manager will arrive to Div II, but im sure that he will manage to promote to Div III for sure and then depending on what league is on DivIII he can have chances to promote again.
